OK Nigeria is a country of too many people and races. How do we at least keep unity in a WhatsApp group? This post would show ways in which people of different races and perhaps don't know each other can flow well in the internet especially WhatsApp.
If you view nairaland, you'd notice that people always fight each other when it comes to topics about tribes and people. With this post, you could successfully unite people on the internet to be together, to be specific, let's start with just WhatsApp groups.
If you view nairaland, you'd notice that people always fight each other when it comes to topics about tribes and people. With this post, you could successfully unite people on the internet to be together, to be specific, let's start with just WhatsApp groups.
1. (For admins), there is a golden rule I discovered while I was the admin of two respective firm WhatsApp groups (one around 45 in population meant for my close friends then the other around 97-100 in population for aspirants like me). The golden rule is that you should be the ONLY admin. The principles behind the rule is two captains cannot sail a ship, more than one chefs cannot make a successful dish. Yep while I was the only admin in the aspirants group, I wasn't the only admin for my close friends group. I noticed that if any two admins are not in agreement, it affects the chatting of everyone, and some people may leave (especially girls, they don't take nonsense). Another reason is that been the only admin, the people's respect wouldn't be divided, and no one would request to be a new admin.
2. (For admins), don't ever let a dispute between two or more peeps in the group to last for more than a day. If one of the party leaves the group, someone else who was in his favor would definitely start an issue and might even leave. If you want to settle the issue, be a good admin by visiting each of the quarreling party through private chat. As the admin, DON'T ever point finger or take sides with someone inside the group.
3. (For admins), this is a hard decision but if someone's attitude has made more than one person to leave the group, REMOVE that person from the group for the safety of the group
4. (For admins), if someone that left the group, perhaps you haven't found the reason, don't immediately go to message him. Wait a while before you do perhaps before then, he might have want to come back.
5. (For admins), if someone angrily leaves the group, wait a while so he cools off, then start the conversation perhaps with knock knock (this always works). Then start a reasonable conversation before you find a way to convince him to come back.
6. (For everyone), have nothing to say, perhaps someone said something you have no valid reply to? You could simply type Hmmmmmmm. It's a trend that keeps the chat flowing.
7. (For everyone), the best way to keep the group active isn't truth or dare (people actually hate this game although it's fun), its engagement. Yep, find ways to interact with each other ask question any personal lives if possible and share happy and sad stories together.
8. (For everyone). DON'T spam. There are some very long massages that people generally won't read before deleting (especially if an important issue was going on), never send those messages. If you must do, first introduce it. In this way, you'll know the peeps who are interested and would read it.
9. (For everyone), don't be ever ashamed to do what you do best. If you feel like sharing your faith like daily feeds, no problem. But if people start complaining, please be considerable.
10. (For admin), find something common between many people in the group. In this way, you can filter the group to match a specific people which would make it stronger.
11 (for everyone), if you've got no topic at your mind to say, try to find a joke. Someone might find a keyword in the joke to start a topic. But if boredom continues after a while you could borrow topics from this blog's FACEBOOK PAGE or visit our ALL TOPICS section.
