Confession could be defined as stating out your wrong doing. Confession has great benefits in life. This post would enlighten you on how, when and why to confess.
Why confess
1. Confession would relief you off too much thinking. When you've done something wrong and your conscience is disturbing you, confessing would ease your mind and make you free. Confessing is a great way to free your mind in order to focus*
2. Confessing would put you back in the right path. As we all know, a thief, when in need of money, would steal again but someone who has 'genuinely' confessed would have the strength to fight the temptation of stealing
3. Confessing is a great way you express yourself*. If you're able to confess a wrong doing, it means you'll be able to express yourself in other aspects of life. They say someone who's faithful in a little would be faithful in much. How about someone who's faithful in much already? Confessing would show how strong you are.
4. Genuine confession makes people repent from their wrong doings. By genuine I mean if you weren't forced to confess.
When to confess
You should only confess when you think you're ready. You shouldn't be forced to confess otherwise you'll continue your wrong doing later. Only when you've fully made up your mind to confess should you confess.
How to confess
If you're confessing your sin:
1. Find the most approachable priest (someone with authority)
2. Don't lie. Just talk and hear what he has to say
3. If you're not comfortable, postpone the meeting.
4. Follow he's direction

3. You need to express yourself so you don't hide any detail. Tell the person he's/she's been right all along and you've been wrong. Always say you're sorry cause it and assure the person that what you've done won't Happen again.
Now that you've confessed
1. Forgive yourself. Sometimes, your conscience would still disturb you. Neglect the feeling and move on
2. If it's a sin that you've confessed, make sure you're mostly never idle
3. If it's someone you've wronged, make sure you always assure the person that you won't do it again. Do so until the person says it's ok.
